About Starbread Bakery
Starbread Bakery is an italian deli in Chula Vista, California. It is listed at 520 Broadway #2, Chula Vista, CA 91910, which places it among the local businesses of Chula Vista that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 6 amβ6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (619) 500-5352. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 250 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded italian delis & bakeries in Chula Vista.

If you're from Hawaii but now live on the mainland and miss eating malasadas, this place is the place to go to in San Diego, CA! Malasadas is a Portuguese donut that has sugar on it. I also have Portuguese heritage and know how to make malasadas too. This malasadas is like the Leonard Bakery type of malasadas they make. But they also got different types of filling inside. They have ube (plum), strawberry, chocolate, guava, creme cheese, and Bavarian creme. I got to try these malasadas and the taste is awesome! The filling for both the ube and guava was plentiful, yet light tasting and not too overly sweet like what it looks like. Very tasty. The chocolate filling has a slight taste similar to cognac chocolate. The creme cheese filling has a nice light sweet to it. The strawberry had a light sweet to it, which made it just right. The Bavarian creme was made just right, light tasting and fluffy. I bought the 1/2 dozen box and its worth it! Its super fresh tasting and does not taste stale at all. They also got mochi donuts, which is next on my list when I visit again. The customer service was also friendly and helpful! Super ono Starbread Bakery, that it tastes like back home

The shop that keeps me coming back! The starbread is SO delicious. The pricing is very very reasonable. I have also tried the donuts that are so fluffy and yummy. Parking has never been an issue, quick service, and clean shop. I will continue to come back. :)

I love their bread. Small but full of flavor. I bring this to work when I feel like treating my co-workers and it vanishes quickly. 1 piece is not enough. It tastes sweet but salty at the same time. Perfect bread to go with coffee in the morning. You gotta get it while it's hot.

Great place to get your bread fix. My fav. Is the coconut, ube and dulce de leche rolls but you can't never go wrong with their original seΓ±orita bread either because it's always nice and warm when you order it.

The establishment is nice , clean and simple they do have a variety of goods. I loved the bread itself, however everything we got that had a filling (which was everything we ordered , minus the senorita bread,) it just didnβt taste good to me. The bread / donut itself surrounding the malasadas and the bread rolls we got are soo yummy, π but once I tasted the filling it just seemed so artificial and not really made in house (not saying thatβs the case, idk itβs just how the quality of the fillings tasted.) My husband had ordered , Coconut cream bread and Dulce de leche bread . I enjoyed the senorita especially when itβs nice and warm. Parking is free & is shared with other businesses but thereβs plenty of spots to park. Ordering was nice and quick.
